For the avoidance of faults, we recommend using Miele vacuum cleaner bags.

Insert the new vacuum cleaner bag into the holder as far as it will go, until you hear the bag click into place.

Leave the vacuum cleaner bag folded up when you take it out of the box.

If you open the upper part of the vacuum cleaner, make sure that the vacuum cleaner bag is still seated correctly inside the appliance before you close it.

Even when correctly fitted, the vacuum cleaner bag (new or used) can be pulled out of its holder when the upper part of the appliance is opened.

To check that the vacuum cleaner bag is seated correctly inside the appliance, proceed as follows:

Remove the vacuum cleaner hose.

Check the seating of the vacuum cleaner bag through the suction connection.

If the hygiene cap is open, the vacuum cleaner bag is seated correctly in the holder.

If the hygiene cap is closed, seat the vacuum cleaner bag correctly.

Push the bag holder down when you fit the new vacuum cleaner bag. Take hold of the tabs on the vacuum cleaner bag holder under the side ribs in the dust compartment.

Pull the vacuum cleaner bag holder up.

The tabs on the vacuum cleaner bag holder are now on top of the side ribs in the dust compartment.

The vacuum cleaner bag holder is bent significantly out of shape.

Incorrect operation can result in the vacuum cleaner bag holder being bent significantly out of shape.

As a result, dust will get into the dust compartment despite the vacuum cleaner bag being seated correctly.

To prevent dust from getting into the dust compartment, the vacuum cleaner bag holder must close completely.

The vacuum cleaner bag holder needs to be replaced.
